LAKES AREA BUSINESS ALLIANCE TEAM (LABAT): LABAT is a "hard networking & qualified referral sharing" group of Lakes Area Chamber Members. The primary goal of LABAT is to help our members develop strong relationships amongst each other for the consistent exchange of ideas, resources and qualified referrals that will generate new business. These groups are comprised of one person from each professional specialty that are committed to helping one another through networking. Regularly scheduled LABAT group meetings have been structured on a bi-weekly basis to provide a supportive system of Giving and Receiving qualified referrals.

RIBBON CUTTING: A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony can be an important part of
your overall marketing and advertising plan and is a great way to kick-off a
business milestone. It offers an opportunity to meet your neighbors and the
other Chamber members. We would be delighted to help your business celebrate
with a Grand Opening, Ribbon Cutting or Groundbreaking Ceremony given the
following criteria:
- New business within the last 12 months
- A ground breaking
- Changed ownership or under new management
- Moved to a new location
- Has extensively remodeled or expanded its present location
The Chamber Staff will help by:
- Encouraging the Chamber's Board of Directors, ambassadors, and members to attend your event
- Recommend Chamber businesses that can provide catering, deli and/or beverage services, if you desire
- Providing the ribbon and scissors
- Promoting your event on the...

- Chamber newsletter following the event, if space allows

SPOTLIGHT LUNCH: Restaurant members are encouraged to host a Spotlight Lunch at their business. Normally held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, members are invited to bring their friends and co-workers to enjoy lunch at your restaurant. As the host, the restaurant offers free soft drinks, coffee or tea with any meal purchase.
We will promote the event through the Chamber newsletter, the Chamber Weekly E-mail updates and the website calendar of events. Everyone is welcome, members and non-members. No reservation necessary.
