Carol Wagner, Travel Plus / Travel Leaders……….
"The rumor is true - the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce IS the "Friendly Chamber"! Since becoming involved with the Chamber and it's many programs, I have seen a measurable jump in our travel sales from Chamber members and referrals. The opportunities for exposure in the lakes area for Travel Plus are immeasurable. It is well worth the annual investment in time and revenue!"
Terry Vettese, Kurgan Woodworks……….
"The Lakes Area Chamber and their Lakes Area Business Alliance Teams (LABAT) have contributed greatly to the growth of my company. My partnership with them has helped to increase my sales and my profile in the community."
Bill Wright, Volunteer Energy……….
"We are a fairly new company doing business in Michigan. Volunteer Energy does not advertise or solicit business residentially door-to-door. By joining the Chamber, I have increased the visability of the company 100% by participating in the LABAT groups, grand openings and mixers. My contact list for potential customers has improved dramatically. Cold calls are reduced and sales potentials are increasing."
Joe Dudak, ITC Holdings Corp……….
"We joined the Lakes Area Chamber as a new company to the area and all of southeast Michigan. I wanted to get our name known to differentiate us from our prior owner DTE Energy and its affiliate Detroit Edison. The variety of networking events offered through the Chamber helped me do that. I was also interested in becoming more involved in my community and charitible activities. I believe helping build our community, helps all our businesses prosper."
Brian Brown, Comerica Bank, Commerce……….
"The Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce has helped me and my business grow by building relationships with other businesses within the community. This has helped me get my name out into the community and grow within my own company by learning about other businesses."
Paul Ebaugh, CyberNet Solutions………..
"My company, CyberNet Solutions has been a member since 2001, and the Chamber has afforded us the opportunity to network with and develop relationships with many other members as customers, suppliers and referral partners. We got to know the LACC office staff when we installed their new telephone system. I have taken my cars to Art Rott at Tuffy's, purchased tires from Tom Phillips at All Tire Service and frequented many other member's businesses. What impresses me most is the quality of people I have met and have come to know. I remember the first LACC networking event where Mark Steinberg from UBS Financial Services graciously spent time with me to discuss the many business networking opportunities that exists in the Chamber and associated organizations. People and relationships you develop within the business community and especially through
LACC makes a lasting difference."
Richard Dunnett, Home Video Studio…………….
"I just want to thank you a thousand times over for including our "New Member Profile" in your September release. A Chamber member caught the article before our copy had even reached us, called through right away and has since dropped off 10,000 plus feet of film for transfer." "Again, thank you!"
Diane Dunn, Heart & Harp………
"Within a few weeks of joining the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, I was hired by a fellow Chamber member to play background music for a reception he was hosting for his clients. Through the Chamber Chats and the Morning and Evening Connections, I have also sold many copies of my newly published children's book to Chamber members, their families and friends. Joining the Chamber was one of the best things I have done to grow my business!"
George Hayden, Snowbird Drivers........
We belong to several Chamber of Commerce organizations, which are all good. The Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) has “by far” provided a superior opportunity. Their staff had the foresight of recognizing the uniqueness of our company. Shortly after we had joined the LACC, the Oakland Press contacted the chamber office to see if they had anything that may interest to them with respect to business reporting. The LACC gave the newspaper my name and telephone number. After that exchange of information, the chamber called me, to alert me of a possible call from the paper and assured me that it was not “spam” or a solicitation. About two hours later a reported called and requested an interview. My business partner and I met with reporter and thought that it was going to be a short information gathering session. It turned out to be a lengthy interview, including photos. A week or two later our company, Snowbird Drivers, was featured as a full half page story on the front page of the Money section in both the Oakland Press and the Macomb Daily publications (full story can be viewed on our website at www.Snowbirddrivers.com. Our telephone was ringing almost continuously for 12 hours the next day. We were even invited to be a guest speaker on a multi-station entrepreneurial radio talk show…as a direct result of the story. Thank you Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce! George Hayden
